The Hotel St Clemens is a small family-run hotel located centrally of the old town, close to the sea. The Hotel St Clemens is Gotland’s first environmentally labeled hotel. The Botanical Garden is just around the corner.
The Hotel St Clemens consists of five historical buildings surrounding two enclosed gardens and right next door to the ruins of the medieval St Clemens Church. The oldest building dates back to the 17th century, while the newest is from the 1920s.
The hotel is open year-round except for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Feel free to visit us in autumn, winter or spring, when Gotland is just as beautiful as in the summer – but in a completely different way.

In 2015, the Hotel St Clemens committed to become highly performant in terms of energy consumption by joining the neZEH European project. It has benefited from support to analyze its current energy status and to identify the potential improvements to be made to reduce its energy consumption. Innovative funding mechanisms and public support will contribute to make this ambitious target of nearly Zero Energy feasible. Through this commitment, the Hotel aims to limit its environmental impact but also to improve comfort for its guests.
